Wall Painting Restoration
Conservative restoration, wall decoration
In this case I was called in Allerona, a beautiful Umbrian village near Orvieto, to restore a Nineteenth-century wall decoration.
The painting showed many gaps, some of which were so extensive that they covered the whole surface. The first phase was to clean and subsequently grout the gaps. Subsequently I intervened with the pictorial compensation of the gaps by using tempera colors with the undertone technique, in order to give continuity to the design and at the same time make the restoration intervention recognizable.
Restoration of paintings on the wall and frescoes, restoration of paintings on canvas and antique frames, restoration of statues and antique furniture are the areas of restoration to which I have been dedicating my work with passion and commitment for years. Contact me for a tailor-made quote.
